Welcome

On this page I'll be aiming to introduce you to what I believe are some true treasures in the world of music. Hopefully you'll find your next favorite artist here, with my focus being on the quality of the music rather than quantity. Select a genre you enjoy from the sidebar to get started or hit the 'View Random Post' button below to discover something unfamiliar. You can also request reviews and uploads in the above links.

Disclaimer: I do not host any of the downloadable content featured on this site. All links refer to compressed files on various file-sharing sites, where other individuals have uploaded the content. All links were found through a Google web search, so if you've got a problem with any of the content, take it up with Google for listing it in the first place. This blog is about the promotion, not the piracy of music. If you like the music, delete the album after giving it a listen, then support the band and buy the album and merch.

How To Extract Albums

Albums downloaded will generally be in a ".zip" or ".rar" file type. If you're new to this kind of stuff, this is a compressed file. Think of it as a briefcase, where all the locks need to be opened before you can access the contents. Basically, you'll need extract the music within; a ".zip" or ".rar" file is useless before extraction. To do this you'll need a file extractor program If you don't have one I strongly recommend WINRAR. It's free, simple and gets the job done. You can download WINRAR from here.

Once downloaded, open it and let it guide you through the installation process. When WINRAR is installed, all you have to do to extract an album is right click on the downloaded ".zip" or ".rar" file and select "Extract Here". Now the album will be ready to go and generally already organized into a folder and named.

Sometimes a compressed file will have a password. If you're ever in need of a password, check back to the where you've downloaded it from.

#1. If you've used a filesharing search engine they usually list source where the found the link, which is usually a forum, website or the actual download page itself. If it was found on the actual download page not much can be done, but otherwise follow the source link and it should lead you to a password.
#2. If you originally found the link on a forum, they usually list the password at the bottom of the post, right below the download link. If you can't see it, try doing a search on page (Ctrl + F) for the word "Password" or "Pass".
#3. If the original link was on a website or blog, passwords are generally listed near the download link. However sometimes there is a standard password for all downloads on the site. Links at the top of the site will usually lead you to this and if you can't find anything try the name of the website as the password.
Otherwise, you'll need to do a search. Put the exact link of the download in quotation marks, and hit the search button. This will bring up a number of pages that list the download link. You'll have to go through them all until you find one that shows a password.

If you still can't find a password after this, you're going to have to find a different copy of the album to download. Password Cracking Software does exist, but there's no guarentee it will work, as most use a brute force attack as the method for cracking the password. This means it will methodically go through every single combination of letters, numbers and symbols until it finds a match. However as you can imagine, this takes an enormous amount of time and computer resources and still might not come back with a correct password in the end. Also as most password cracking software costs money, it's best to avoid it; it's easier just to download the album again.

In general, links posted on this site will NOT have a password. However when no links other than password protected ones are available online, I will post them and the password will be listed directly under the download link.
